BTB: Dani Tyler
Bread making is our raison d'être. Its what we’re passionate about and obsessed with.
But the core of Rye Goods is not our dough. It’s our team.
We believe it’s with everyone’s talent, we achieve the level of success we have today. That’s why we want to take you behind the scenes to meet the hands behind the bread.
This week we introduce you to,
Dani Tyler
She’s been in the bread making business for over 9 years. Her specialty is upholding the highest standards of bread production. Paying close attention to every detail and correcting any small imperfection. That’s why she is our overnight lead baker. We thank her for playing a big role in our vision - here’s where her story begins:
Dani’s role of sous chef and leading the production for French Laundry with Bouchon (kudos Dani), ingrained in her a highly attentive and desirable work ethic that easily won us over.
When she and her wife moved to Orange County, they both sought out to work with Rye Goods. Easily, Dani’s capabilities in the kitchen led her to lead the overnight baking. With bread as her passion, Dani found the Rye Goods process of starting with whole, heritage grains enamoring.
The process of taking whole, heritage grains and creating baked sourdough loaves is more complicated than it sounds and requires much dedication. Luckily, Dani is a highly motivated baker and a creative one, too. If you’ve ever tried a cheese roll, you have her to thank, they’re her little creation! She was inspired to utilize the dough trim to minimize waste – bravo Dani.
The pesto pepper jack cheese is her favorite combo!
She couldn’t go without mentioning the importance of her team. Just as dough needs the correct conditions to bake perfectly, we as people need the correct support to be our best selves — along with a Rye Goods chocolate crinkle cookie and the occasional trip to Disneyland (a couple of Dani’s favorite things).
